The SBTi Finance Tool is being made available under the MIT License.  It is one of approved licenses of the OSI (`Open Source Initiative <https://opensource.org/licenses>`__), which is the gold standard for open source licensing.  It is a "permissive" license that guarantees freedoms to use, modify, and redistribute, but that also permits proprietary derivative works.  The MIT License as WRI's standard license for source code.
